How Conversations Work
By Default: Not Stored
Your conversations are stateless and not saved to our database. Once the session ends, they're gone. This is the most private option - we literally don't have your chats to protect.
If You Save to Favorites
When you save a companion to a favorite slot:
- Conversations ARE stored (so you can continue later)
- Database is encrypted at rest
- Multiple security firewalls protect access
- Only accessible with your login credentials
Your choice: Maximum privacy (no saves) or convenience (saved companions).
Content Moderation (Full Transparency)
To ensure our community remains safe, we reserve the right to cooperate with moderation APIs using anonymized data. Here's exactly what that means:
- Content may be verified through independent moderation services
- Your message is completely anonymized - no username, email, or identifying data included
- The moderation service doesn't know who you are or link messages to accounts
- If problematic content is detected, your account is restricted to protect the community
We're legally required to prevent illegal content. This approach protects everyone while preserving your privacy.
What We Collect
What we DO collect:
- Account info: Email, display name (for login)
- Usage stats: Anonymous metrics to improve the service
- Payment info: Handled entirely by Stripe (we never see card details)
- Error logs: Technical data to fix bugs (no message content)
What we DON'T do:
- Sell your data
- Scan conversations for ads
- Share with third parties (except anonymized moderation checks)
- Track you across the web
Your Rights
Under GDPR and CCPA:
- Right to access: Download your saved data
- Right to deletion: Delete account → everything's wiped
- Right to portability: Export your characters
- Right to correction: Update stored information
The Tradeoff
Maximum Privacy: Don't save companions → conversations disappear
Convenience: Save companions → encrypted storage with security measures
You choose what matters more.
Our Commitment
Privacy isn't marketing - it's our architecture. We can't read your conversations even if we wanted to (unless you report abuse). Your intimate moments stay private.
